Hamilton comes a cropper of stewards.
Immediately after the end of the Belgium Grand Prix and Hamilton had been awarded his trophy for 1st place a stewards enquiry began, it revolved around the fact that Lewis had seemingly gained advantage fron cutting a corner to take the lead from Kimi Raikonnen , a move that some see as necessary considering the alternative to cutting the corner was to collide with Raikonnen, after taking the position Hamilton immediately allowed raikonnen to re pass him so as not to incur a penalty, shortly after this Hamilton seemed to re position himself and line up for another attempt at taking the lead which he did successfully. Two hours after the race the stewards announced their deceision to dock Hamilton 25 seconds relegating him to 3rd place, shortly after this McLaren gave a short press conference stating their position and giving some technical information provided from the telemetry systems apparently showing that Hamilton had indeed lifted allowing Raikonnen to pass him, an appeal has also been submitted, we will have to wait to see the outcome.

Congratulations to Felippe Massa apart from short periods around pit stops he lead the race from start to finish, Lewis Hamilton looked promising but turned out to be on a planned 3 stop strategy to preserve his tyres after last year’s disastrous tyre failure, however he managed to jump from 3rd place to 2nd before the first corner with a good start, he managed to finish second only 5 seconds behind Massa. Kimi Raikkonen finished 3rd in the second Ferrari with Robert Kubica 4th and Nick Heidfeld 5th, putting both BMW's in the top 5. Overall a good race with none of the incidents of stray dogs on the track of the earlier GP2 race.
